Homeplace Ranch is a year round working & guest ranch in Alberta's high cattle country. The main ranch is about 50 Km (31 miles) south-west of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is at an elevation of 1500m (4900'), in the Foothills of the Rocky Mountains. In addition to the ranch property, we also ride on the surrounding several thousand acres of Crown land, most of which is leased for cattle ranching. Bears, deer, coyotes, elk and other wildlife are frequently seen. The ranch was homesteaded in 1912. Photographs and artifacts of the original owners are still displayed, and many log buildings from that period are currently in use.

The varieties of activities are endless. Guided white water rafting, mountain biking, trail rides, ATV excursions, hiking and fishing on many creeks and on the Red Deer River. There is wildlife and bird watching, photography, and our Sundre Professional Rodeo during June. Beautiful Red Deer River is one of our best white water rafting rivers in Alberta and is an excellent venue for kayaking and white water canoeing enthusiasts.
There are many good reasons why Harry Graham first settled here in 1890, some of those being obvious and some being intuition. In any case, this ranch is as suitable to raising cattle today as it was 112 years ago. The biggest reason today for the existence of this ranch is the cattle business.
The riding area consists of 1,000 acres of private land that is directly connected to over 50,000 acres of grazing land. There are some fenced areas where we ride but most of it is in open forest/range-land. There are more creeks to cross and ride along than you can count, and our dude ranch provides some excellent rides along with the challenge of fording the river and creeks when water levels permit.

We built our "canada select" 4 Star Lodge in the center of the Chilcotins, in the heartland of British Columbia, West Canada. Echo Valley Ranch & Spa is home to more than thirty-five Tennessee Walking Horses. These horses are famous for their smooth gait and excellent for all levels of riders. Numerous and various trails surround the ranch offering one to six hour rides.
Echo Valley Ranch & Spa offers a variety of trails for the casual walker, as well as challenging hikes for the adventurous explorer.
Echo Valley Ranch & Spa is close to where the Chilcotin River flows into the mighty Fraser. The scenery is magnificent, wild life abundant, and the ride down the river in a raft thrilling. Three nights or day trips are available throughout the summer months.
Gold panning lessons and slide shows are given at the ranch, and our one time gold prospector, from way back, takes guest out to try their luck in his "secret spots" nearby.
Bird watching trips are lead by Brian Davies, our resident naturalist, who takes guest to the habitats of the birds that reside or pass through our area.
At Echo Valley Ranch & Spa you can see demonstrations of how Gyrfalcons and Peregrine falcons are trained and cared for.
Big Bar Lake is a 30-minute drive from the ranch and is ideal for a picnic lunch and Rainbow trout fishing. Closer by, you can practice fly fishing skills in a small lake created at Echo Valley Ranch & Spa from one of the springs.
The uniqueness of the geographic location of Echo Valley Ranch & Spa becomes dramatically evident when viewed from the air try a one hour "four biome" flight in our Cessna 172 aircraft.
A very special Spa in a very special place. A Baan Thai spa and western spa centre with resident estheticians to perform complete beauty and health spa services in both Western and Thai tradition. | Three Bars is located in the south eastern corner of British Columbia, in an area know as the Rockies region. We are a two hour drive south of Banff National Park and three hours northwest of Waterton & Glacier National Parks. It is truly a beautiful part of the world. With an abundance of Nature, clean fast moving water, green fields & breath taking mountain vistas. The main activity at the ranch is our horse program. The riding program includes riding instruction time for those unfamiliar with the sport, as well as more advanced lessons for those wishing to improve their skills. The indoor riding arena came in handy for that occasional rain storm that we can get in the mountains. Wranglers lead morning and afternoon trail rides into high mountain vistas and along rushing rivers and creeks. The ranch has fly fishing equipment available for our guests use. Fishing season opens June 15th. Two half day hiking trips are offered May - September. The tennis court and swimming pool are always open. River rafting is available during high season only. Evenings will find guests playing volleyball, sitting around a campfire, learning to swing a rope, trying their hand at archery or relaxing in the hot tub.
